Wade Lawrence is the museum director and senior curator at The Museum at Bethel Woods. He earned his M.A. in early American culture from the University of Delaware’s prestigious Winterthur Program and his B.A. in art history from the University of Minnesota. He has been a student of American popular culture all his life and grew up in New Orleans and Memphis during the tumultuous 1960s, witnessing many of the societal changes first-hand. His interests include food, photography, music, travel, architecture, and Louis Comfort Tiffany windows, lamps, and glass.
